Why I want to win the lottery...

If I wasn't really poor right now, these lovely items would be finding their way to my door. Unfortunately, when I'm not saving I have a terrible habit of frittering my money away on things like lipbalms that bring me out in a rash, cheesestrings and Rubicon.... *

Missguided

1. How cute is this kimono-style cardi?? I love the print and I think the colours would go with lots of things, they look suitable for now and into winter.
2. The thing I love about jumpsuits like this one is that worn during the day, they look really cool and not overdressed, even if you're just going shopping. Yet at night, slip on a pair of heels and add a cute little clutch bag and you look ready to party! Bet this is really comfy as well- and no flashing-panties wardrobe malfunctions- win!
3. This wine colour is my new favourite, I first fell in love with it on these palazzo pants, but I think its also gorgeous on this dress. It makes it a bit more exciting than your classic LBD, but not too bright and inyourface.
4. This jacket really caught my eye. The colour is really cool, I love the biker style, but most exciting is the lace detail! Really adds something different and interesting and makes it not as tough yet quite sexy.
5. The colour on this top is really cool, but check out the back! I love the buttons! And the black trimming on it too. I'd wear this with practically everything; jeans, bodycon skirt, leggings, blazer, cardigan, denim jacket...so versatile!

Republic

1. As I've previously mentioned, I love prints, and this one is gorgeous I think. Reminds me a bit of the dress I wore out the other night (post to come)
2. And again this print on the bandeau top is similar. I sort of considered getting it to wear under a sheer top but I don't think that'd do it justice to be honest, but I don't feel confident enough to wear it alone :(
3. Ooh and on a playsuit! This I probably will buy. My justification? Since it's navy I can wear it on nights out with black tights and heels when it's chilly, or bare-legged with sandals while the sun is still (sort of) shining!
4. These shoes are so so cool, I love the chunky heels combined with the mix of colours. I can imagine them being worn with a split-side maxi skirt. Sadly I have restricted myself to buying winter-closed-toe shoes only now, so gutted.
5. I've seen the stars and stripes print on shorts and stuff and I really like it, and now on a bandeau top! Love it. Same dilemma as before though :(

New Look

1.This bag! <3 Kinda think I've fell in love with the price as much as the style haha, but I'm having a bit of a thing for bags right now, especially the padlock detail that's been appearing a lot recently (D&G seem to love them and a lot of the mock Hermes Kelly bags feature them too). I just can't choose which colour I'd have! Maybe the yellow??
2. Know why I love these boots so much? Not only would they look brilliant with all kinds of jeans and coloured trousers, they're perfect for keeping your toesies warm when worn with dresses on a night out- because nobody will notice if you wear socks!! This is why I put myself on ban of all open-toe shoes haha.

3. I know I'm a bit late on the pink blazer trend (I still remember when Miranda Kerr wore one and everyone wanted to know where it was from), but I saw this one on New Look and I really want it... I love how Miranda Kerr wore it with the most basic of outfits- a plain white vest and jeans- and it instantly brightened it up and looked so effortlessly cool. I have a thing for blazers with the sleeves rolled up- never ever down for some reason- and since I posted my outfit featuring my grey one I've since bought three more!! Love the androgynous look- how is possible that dressing manly can be made so sexy??

I hope I haven't depressed you all with all these wintery things, I'm just trying to avoid looking at all the gorgeous things that I'd freeze to death in when I'm at uni up North haha.

Has everyone been watching Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model?? I think it's fab. On Monday though they all wore the black dress that I'd rung round all Miss Selfridge stores trying to find- so gutted I'll never look as good as nearly-models do in it!!
The wedges are Missguided (no longer available in black, but here in rust)
Please excuse the drunken photos haha

*Ok actually as proven by my previous posts, quite clearly not all my money goes into my savings or spent in convenience stores...I admit I do spend a lot on clothes, shoes, bags, make up, etc etc....!!

Eyeko Review

Ok so as promised here's the review of the Eyeko products I bought!!

So I bought these two Graffiti Eyeliner Pens in purple and black- my first purchase from Eyeko. They are brilliant. I have never really used liquid eyeliner because I remember trying it once and ending up with a wibbly-wobbly line that wasn't close enough to my lashes line. But these are just like felt tip pens so make application really, really easy, whilst giving a result that's as clear, precise and smooth as liquid eyeliner! To show you here I've done the standard black line and then added some purple too. I'm tempted to get the navy blue one now too..!

 ^Just black^

^with purple^

They're such good prices as well- £5.50 each, not bad, eh? I know I still need a lot of practice, those lines are quite wonky haha. I like how the purple isn't really obvious in these photos, but it does add a certain brightness and jazzes up the black a bit. Personally I like this look too because I think its fairly obvious despite being behind my glasses- complications with my eyes mean I can never wear contacts and sometimes I've felt there's no point in me wearing eye make up because nobody would notice behind the glasses, but I don't think that's necessarily true for this look.

I read a review of this Fat Balm Frosting with SPF 15 and instantly decided to get it, hoping the colour would suit me and I think it does! Has a lovely, shimmery sheen to it without looking too much, so I'd feel comfortable wearing it during the day as an alternative to bright lipstick, plus your lips feel super soft and not dried out at all. Tastes Smells like cupcakes too! Yum yum.

Usually I'd wear a little bit of blusher, but because of the coloured balm I chose not to- I'm not a fan of wearing too much make up, worried I'd look like a drag queen haha.

And I found an ambassador code too, so I received this Line and Shine Duo Colour Pencil as a free gift! The one I received was Super Star, so one end is Plum and the other is Electric Purple.
Think it looks really pretty. It's really smooth and creamy on application, and blends so so well. I wasn't really sure how best to use it to be honest, so I've smudged it up to cover the eyelids, though I wanna have a bit more of an experiment with it to try a few more looks. It's quite a big pencil though, so its more for thick application compared to say, a little eye pencil where you might be able to put a subtle line around the eyes to add just a hint of colour or sparkle. I quite fancy this pencil in Rock Star- that's the black glitter and silver one.

Ooh its a bit creepy just having shots of my eyes...! Haha
So there you go! Will order again from Eyeko I'm sure. The delivery was super fast as well, think I made the order on Wednesday, was despatched on Thursday and arrived on Saturday! Really good products over all I reckon.

In other news, check out my new hair and cartilage piercing!!

Got half a head of highlights done at Bad Apple hairdressers today, they were absolutely brilliant (for any Brummie readers!). Took 5 and a half hours including the cut and Kerastase treatment because my hair's so thick, but it was so worth it in the end, and they- surprisingly given how fed up I get- didn't get annoyed at how much effort my hair takes haha. The colour technician, Michelle, was fab though; I was worried my hair looked really stripy last time I had highlights somewhere else, but I think she blended them so so well. :)

I heart vintage

Helloo

I've had a lovely day today; went shopping with my sister, first in central Birmingham but then we ventured to Kings Heath which has amazing charity shops and also a vintage fare on today! Was fab. Top buys have to be my two bags.. Check them out!

This teal one is gorgeous I think. Big enough for folders and all that, but still cool, I love the colour. I was really wanting a Cambridge Satchel, but I know I can't afford one of them aha.

This black one may look pretty simple but it's perfect for everyday shopping and work because its not too big. I'm considering tying a pretty scarf onto it though, hmm...

Now this, I love. Unfortunately I didn't get it (seriously, when on earth would I wear that? Takes a very cool person to pull that off, I'm currently trying to think of celebrities who could make it work...errrmm...nope, can't think of any!), it is pretty awesome though.

Aand this is my outfit of the day- wearing my new boots and top from ASOS! :)

Jacket: Topshop
Top: ASOS
Leggings: Marks & Spencer
Boots: ASOS
Bag: H&M
(clearly not very vintage hmm... :/ )

Really need to get my camera fixed, you can hardly see things on these photos :(

Next post will be my Eyeko products review. I haven't had a chance to properly take photos of the make up, will have to do it tomorrow!

Girls night out...on the train..!

Here's an outfit from when I went out the other night! I'd post a photo from the night but apart from the train ones, there are none I look sober in...hmm...
I've been desperate to wear these patterned shoes for ages, but was being a bit cautious about what they'd go with. Finally got to wear them with this cream dress though.

Shoes: Debenhams
Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Bag: Primark
Earrings: Who knows! Were my friends and I lost one.. :/

I bought a similar dress today, just from one of those really cheap shops, except its black and is more skater style. They did it in cream though and I am kinda tempted to buy it too....!
I love this one though cos it looked quite posh for going out, but will still be so easy to style for daytime, like with brogues and a denim jacket, so its a winner for me!

Made a biiigg ASOS order today (naughty me, should be saving!!), including these two pairs of boots because I couldn't decided which colour- somebody must make sure I do return one pair!!!
Which colour do you prefer?

Trip to Manchester

So I'm well back from my very short trip to Manchester, just been working since. Had such an amazing time! Went with my mom to see James Taylor, but I made sure we did lots and lots of shopping as well :D

Here's some photos from the trip!

My outfit on the first day:

Shorts: New Look
Top: Primark
Blazer: Oxfam
Brogues: Primark
Right hand side rings: Topman
Left hand side rings: My sister the jewellery designer/maker!! Check out her blog!
Bracelet: Links of London
Necklace: Mynamenecklace.co.uk
Earrings: New Look
Nail colour: 17 Miamipop, Down Town

Outfit second day:

Playsuit: Missguided

And a few other random photos:

Oh my gosh this sheep pen in Paperchase was so scary. I picked it up and when I pressed the head I got a terrible fright because it lit up like this and produced the scariest "BAAAA!" you've ever heard!!! I was tempted to buy it just to show others how truly terrifying it was.

My Pizza Express meal, mmm...

(don't worry, I didn't eat the flower)

My nails after I applied 17 Supreme Shine Coral Pop whilst waiting for the lift (hence its not very neat)

I had a lovely lovely time, but best yet was the fabulous things I bought!! Lots of clothes that will no doubt feature soon, but my best buy was my Juicy Couture purse! We were staying right by Harvey Nichols, so I told my mommy we'd have to go in- just to look, because I didn't expect to buy anything. But then this purse was in the sale and it's soo gorgeous I had to have it. I like it because it's not as 'blingy' as Juicy Couture stuff tends to be and will go really well with the Patrick Cox bag I'm waiting until I go to uni to use. I don't know why I'm waiting til then since it's probably less likely to get wrecked now, but I feel like I can justify the buy if I say its for university, haha.

Will post again soon! :)

Pub time!

This is my outfit from when I went to the pub yesterday:

Top: Primark
Jeggings: H&M
Blazer: Oxfam
Brogues: Primark

I know, I know..jeggings. I don't really know how cool they are, but I've gotta be honest, I practically live in them. On my to-buy list before October (when I go to uni) I've got down a good pair of jeans, because actually, I don't currently own one!! I just find jeggings so comfortable though! I bought these a while ago, I like the zips by the ankles.

The top is Primark, and I do like how it falls- good for a bloated day without looking really frumpy.

And I thought I'd smarten up the outfit with this blazer, which paired with the brogues feels a little bit androgynous.

I bought another blazer the other day, but I've gotta be honest, I've never found one as perfect as this... I bought it last summer in Oxfam, though I think it was originally Monsoon, and I've worn it to death, the lining is completely torn! But it was great for work experience and interviews, as well as just going out with friends, and I always wear it with the sleeves rolled up, I think it looks way too smart and boring otherwise!

In this photo you can sort of see my eye make-up; I was just testing out the new Eyeko graffiti pen eyeliners I bought the other day- but hold tight because I'm soon going to do a proper review of all the Eyeko products I bought!!

Off to Manchester with my mom today, wonder if I can fit in some shopping... ;)

Nightime outfit made daytime

This is my outfit from yesterday, was just meeting somebody at the cinema :)

I might have looked a little overdressed actually, and usually I wear this outfit with heels when I'm going out, so I popped on the jacket to try and make it look a bit more casual. Also flats, of course. Its weird because obviously the skirt is vintage but these recent Primark shoes are nearly a perfect match!!
I love these rings, I wear these two and the butterfly one (seen in last post) quite a lot, but they're getting a bit battered now and my butterfly lost a wing when I went out on Tuesday night!! :( Will have to buy more.

Jacket: Topshop
Skirt: Vintage
Vest top: Zara
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Primark
Rings: New Look
Belt: Took off a Boohoo dress
